  • cookie choices you make on the site.

How we use your information

We may use personal information to:

  • reply to your enquiries;
  • process and manage bookings, registrations and related admin;
  • send you information you asked for;
  • keep a record of our communications with you;
  • run, maintain and secure the website;
  • understand how people use the site so we can improve it;
  • send marketing only where you have agreed to receive it, and let you opt out easily.

Our grounds for using it

Under POPIA, we use personal information where it is needed to respond to your request, provide the service you booked or asked for, meet our legal obligations, protect our legitimate interests in running and securing the website, or where you have given consent.

Analytics, advertising and direct marketing run only with your consent where consent is required. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies on this site.

  • Strictly necessary cookies are always on. They help with security, the site session, and remembering your cookie choice.
  • Analytics cookies may be used only if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. These may include tools such as Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site.
  • Marketing or advertising cookies and pixels may be used only if you accept marketing cookies in the cookie banner. These may include tools such as the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok pixels. They may tell those platforms about visits and actions on the site, for example pages viewed, an enquiry or a booking, so we can measure our adverts and show adverts to people who visited our site.

You choose your cookie settings in the cookie banner and you can change your choice at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. You can also clear cookies in your browser.

Analytics and advertising tools run only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies. These companies may process information outside South Africa under their own privacy policies. You can also manage advertising directly in your Facebook, Instagram or TikTok ad settings.

We may use your contact details for advertising on these platforms only if you have agreed to receive marketing from us.

When we may share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only when needed with service providers that help us run the website and provide our services, such as website, email and payment support where applicable, and with analytics or advertising platforms where you have consented to those cookies.

These service providers must keep personal information confidential and secure, and use it only for the work they do for us. Some may store or process information outside South Africa, with protections similar to POPIA.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to manage our relationship with you, or for as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we will delete it, destroy it, or de-identify it where appropriate.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to help protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These steps may include access controls, password protection, secure systems and limiting access to people who need the information to do their work.

Children

Our website and services are aimed at entrepreneurs and business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has given us personal information, they should email us so we can help.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
  • give you access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct or update your information;
  • delete information where there is a lawful basis to do so;
  • object to our use of your information, including direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent where our use depends on consent.

How to ask for help or changes

The best way to reach us is by email. If you want to ask what information we hold, update your details, withdraw consent, object to marketing, or ask for deletion or correction, please email lisa@sandler.co.za. We may ask for enough information to confirm your identity before we act on your request.
